All contracts are month-to-month with a 10-day written notice to vacate. You can rent the unit for as long as you need.
What’s the best way to use a self storage unit?
Pack items in sturdy boxes, label everything, and place frequently used items near the front of the unit.

We are open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Do you have 24/7 access to storage units?
Yes, our facility provides 24/7 access to your storage units for convenience and flexibility.
How do I get my lock?
Your lock will be on the unit, and the access information will be provided on the date of your move-in.
Are your storage units secure?
Our Smart Storage Defender Units offer enhanced security features to protect your belongings.
Is your facility close to San Antonio or New Braunfels?
Yes, our Canyon Lake location serves customers within a 30-mile radius, including San Antonio and New Braunfels. We have 8 locations around the lake strategically located for tenant convenience.
Do you offer climate-controlled storage?
Currently, we specialize in open-air, covered, and enclosed units. We’ll definitely post for updates on climate-controlled options.
Reservation and Leasing
How do I reserve a unit?
You can reserve a unit online by calling us directly at 830-359-3838 or sending us an email at manager@canyonlakestorage.com. Reservations are good for two weeks.
Can I lease the same day online?
Yes! You may lease online by going to www.canyonlakestorage.com. Just browse through our list of available units and follow the step-by-step instructions. One of our friendly managers will reach out to you and assist you with verification and send your access information. Feel free to call us at 830-359-3838 for any assistance.
Is there a minimum rental period?
No, there is no minimum rental period required. All contracts are on a month-to-month basis.
Do I need a photo of my ID?
Yes, you’ll need to provide a state-issued ID card, driver’s license, or passport for identification.
Can I change my unit size after booking?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your unit size based on availability.
Are there any extra fees?
Yes, there is a one-time non-refundable admin and lock fee. Our payment processor also charges 3.99% cc fees and 1.75% for ACH payments.
How often does your pricing changes?
Our pricing is reviewed periodically to reflect market conditions and operational costs. While changes don’t happen frequently, we always strive to give our customers advance notice and ensure our rates remain competitive.
Do I need insurance?
Yes, insurance is required for items stored with us to ensure they’re protected against unexpected events. You’re welcome to use your own insurance if it covers stored belongings. For added convenience, we also partner with a third-party provider to offer the SafeLease Protection Plan, an affordable option designed specifically for self-storage customers.”

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, and ACH. There is a 3.99% fee for card payments and 1.75% for ACH charged by our payment processor.
Can I pay my storage bill online?
Yes, online payment is available through our website.
Do you offer autopay options?
Yes, you can set up autopay for convenience.
Are there any late fees if I miss a payment?
Yes, late fees may apply if payment is not received on time.
Do you have a tenant portal for managing my storage?
Yes, our online tenant portal allows you to manage your storage account easily. You may make payments, update your payment method/information, check your invoices, and enable/disable storage notifications online.
